Here we have been able
to grow gradually
How Åsa and Anne-Lie’s storage grew in line with the business
Åsa and Anne-Lie founded Cook’n Bloom in 2013. They import and market a range of products for use in indoor and outdoor kitchens. The range includes professional kitchen tools, high-quality serving trays, kitchen knives, and fantastic BBQ grills designed to take cooking to the next level—for everyone who loves to cook.
“We simply aim to help food lovers bloom in the kitchen,” says Åsa. Åsa and Anne-Lie had dreamed for years of working with food. Their passion for food was a fact long before they took the plunge and decided to sell professional kitchen design.
“We seized the opportunity and exhibited at Formex (Nordic interior design fair). A success that was crucial for us to take our next step,” Anne-Lie recalls. They did well. While working from home in Hägersten, they realised they would need storage space.
“I checked out all the players and spoke with several storage centres. Pelican Self Storage in Kungsholmen was the ideal place for us.”
“We started with 9 m² and today have 55 m² of storage space across five units, including for order picking, garden grills, and trade show displays.
For us, the flexibility is a major advantage. Instead of committing to a large warehouse, we have been able to continuously adapt the storage space to the company’s needs.
Pelican’s service also means a great deal. The staff help receive goods and handle deliveries, so we do not need to be present when the freight companies arrive.”
“There are, of course, warehouse management companies out there, but because we handle order fulfilment ourselves, Pelican is an excellent solution for us.”
Åsa and Anne-Lie also believe that the option to use the lounge area and conference room at Pelican Self Storage is extremely beneficial.
“We have held many meetings with customers here. We even invited journalists here to introduce them to our products.”
